Apple’s AI suite, Apple Intelligence, will soon be available in French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese, along with localized English versions for India and Singapore.
During the company’s Q4 2024 earnings call on Thursday, CEO Tim Cook said the company will roll out support for these additional languages in April.
The first version of Apple Intelligence last year only supported US English. Later, in December, when the company released iOS 18.2, it added English support in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and the UK. The company did not disclose plans to expand its AI suite to the European Union and mainland China.
Cook also said that a new version of Siri that understands on-screen context will be released “in the next few months.”
