Apple is developing a real-time translator feature for wireless headphones

The feature is expected to arrive with the iOS 19 update, which is scheduled to be released later this year.

Apple is developing a new feature for AirPods that will allow you to translate conversations into another language in real time. This is reported by Bloomberg.

The feature will be part of a software update for AirPods. This feature is expected to appear with the iOS 19 update, which is scheduled for later this year.

This feature works like this: when a user hears speech in a foreign language, the iPhone translates it and transmits the result to the AirPods in the user’s native language. When the user responds, their speech is translated into the language of the interlocutor and played through the iPhone’s speaker.

Previously, Google offered a similar feature with the Pixel Buds, while Apple has been providing the built-in Translate application since 2020.

However, the integration of this feature into AirPods will create a more convenient and seamless communication experience in different languages.

Apple has not commented on this information yet.

The translation feature will be part of a large-scale update to Apple’s software. The company is preparing the largest iOS and macOS redesign in history, as well as expanded translation capabilities for iOS 19.

Earlier, Spot reported that Apple plans to abandon the release of new products every year.

It is noted that the company understands that releasing many new products at the same time will lead to technical problems
