New Opportunity: Audiobook Creation Made Easier!
Voice AI company ElevenLabs now allows authors to create their own audiobooks and publish them on its Reader app. This announcement comes shortly after the company partnered with Spotify to launch AI-narrated audiobooks.
Last month, ElevenLabs secured a $180 million investment and had previously tested this publishing program with a limited group of users. As of today, it is open to all authors!
Why Does This Matter?
- Producing an audiobook in a studio can be expensive, but ElevenLabs aims to make it much more affordable.
- Authors can create their audiobooks and publish them directly on ElevenLabs’ Reader app.
- Authors earn revenue based on user engagement. Currently, they receive $1.10 for every user who listens to at least 11 minutes of their audiobook.
During the Testing Phase:
- The average user spent 19 minutes listening to audiobooks on the ElevenLabs app.
- Initially, payouts are available only for U.S.-based authors and English-language titles, with plans to expand to 32 languages in the future.
- The company is also working on developing a marketplace where authors can sell their audiobooks.
Key Advantage:
Through ElevenLabs’ paid plans, authors can generate audiobooks using AI, with pricing ranging from $11 to $330 per month—a far more cost-effective solution than booking a recording studio and hiring voice actors.
ElevenLabs has already partnered with Pocket FM and Kuku FM to convert text into audio content. Now, the company is positioning itself as a publishing and distribution platform for independent authors and publishers.

It’s pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all site owners and bloggers
made good content as you did, the internet will be much more useful than ever before.
