
In the coming years, several large-scale investment projects are planned to be implemented in Bukhara region, covering sectors such as industry, tourism, education, energy, and agriculture. These initiatives stem from recent negotiations with Chinese companies. The main goals of these projects are to boost local production, create new jobs, and integrate international experience into domestic practices.
LED Lamp Factory and a Four-Star Hotel
Highclass Solar Light will implement two key projects in Bukhara. The first is the construction of a modern LED lamp manufacturing plant. This facility will help meet domestic demand for lighting technologies while also expanding export opportunities. The second project involves building a four-star hotel, which will improve tourism infrastructure and offer modern accommodations for visitors. The total value of these two projects is estimated at 10 million USD.
Tea Plantations and Processing Facility
Qitong Tea plans to launch a tea production initiative in Bukhara. The company will establish tea plantations and build a modern facility for processing tea. This project is expected to produce goods worth 10 million USD annually and create new jobs in agriculture and the food industry. In the long term, the goal is to introduce locally produced tea to international markets.
Residential Complex with Cogeneration System
Guangdong Chant Group has proposed a plan to build a residential complex in Bukhara consisting of 5,000 housing units. The complex will be equipped with a modern cogeneration system that simultaneously generates electricity and heat. This solution will reduce energy consumption and improve living conditions, while also contributing to environmental sustainability and technological advancement.
Training Academy and Marketing Platform
Taili Group will collaborate with Bukhara on two fronts. First, they will establish a new educational academy aimed at training qualified specialists with modern knowledge and practical skills. Second, they will launch a marketing platform to promote and bring local products and services to the market. This platform will also help businesses connect with customers and expand their reach.
Textile Production and Export
Yoye Wisdom intends to localize textile production in Bukhara with the aim of exporting finished products to European markets. This will not only increase export volumes but also contribute to the technological modernization of Uzbekistan’s textile industry. Local production will reduce reliance on imports and make domestic products more competitive in global markets.
Visit Details
These projects were agreed upon during a business delegation’s visit to China. From March 16 to 22, 2024, a delegation led by the Deputy Governor of Bukhara region, Rizo Asadov, visited the cities of Shenzhen, Zhunshan, and Shenyang, where they held talks with major Chinese companies.
During the visit, collaboration in education, healthcare, tourism, industry, and mineral resource development was also established. A memorandum of cooperation was signed between Bukhara region and the government of Liaoning province.
Additionally, the “Shenzhen – Bukhara” business forum was held in Shenzhen with the participation of over 60 companies. Agreements were reached with firms specializing in water technologies, battery production, logistics, and other sectors.
These projects will not only modernize regional infrastructure but also generate dozens of new jobs. Local products will gain access to competitive markets, and advancements in education and technology will foster innovation. The confidence of Chinese investors in Bukhara reflects the region’s growing potential and the effectiveness of ongoing reforms.
