Paris- and New York-based startup DeepIP has raised $15 million in a Series A funding round. The round was led by Resonance, with participation from Headline, Serena Capital, and Balderton. The funds will be used to enhance DeepIP’s AI assistant and expand its product team.
DeepIP’s AI assistant streamlines and accelerates the patent drafting process: it can summarize lengthy documents, suggest alternative claim structures, and identify potential omissions.
The platform is gaining popularity among corporations and law firms. For instance, major U.S. firm Schwegman Lundberg Woessner is already using DeepIP. To date, the tool has assisted in drafting over 8,500 patent applications.
According to CEO François-Xavier Leduc, the goal is not to replace legal professionals, but to make their work easier and more efficient. With this tool, the patent filing process becomes faster and more precise.
As investment in legal-tech continues to grow, DeepIP addresses the complexities of patent drafting and saves time and effort for attorneys.
By blending cutting-edge technology with human expertise, DeepIP is introducing a revolutionary solution in the patent industry.
