
The Astana Hub ecosystem is fostering the development of aviation startups. These projects help passengers purchase tickets online, enjoy in-flight entertainment, and access other services. Some of them have already generated billions of tenge in revenue and created hundreds of jobs.
For example, the Farel startup automates all airline processes. The company’s founder is the first Kazakh entrepreneur to be accepted into the prestigious Y-Combinator accelerator in 2020.
Y-Combinator is one of the world’s most renowned and successful business accelerators, having contributed to the growth of companies such as:
- Airbnb – a global home rental service,
- Dropbox – a cloud file storage platform,
- Reddit – a popular news and entertainment platform, and many others.
The Farel startup has already attracted investments from Silicon Valley businesses and continues to expand its team.
