Microsoft has introduced the “Dragon Copilot” artificial intelligence assistant to facilitate the work of medical workers. The new technology helps reduce the workload of doctors by automating documents and quickly searching for information.
“Dragon Copilot” combines the technologies of “Dragon Medical One” (keeping voice records and medical history) and “DAX Copilot” (automating medical documents). These systems were developed by Nuance Communications, which was acquired by Microsoft in 2021.
The main capabilities of the AI assistant:
- Automatic creation and completion of medical records in real time
- Automatic formation of admission results and recommendations
- Search for medical information from trusted sources
- Quickly respond to doctor requests
Provide links to authoritative sources such as the US Centers for Disease Control
“Dragon Copilot” works on the mobile app, browser and desktop. The program will be launched in the US and Canada in May 2025. It will later be available in the UK, Germany, France and the Netherlands.
Microsoft has not yet announced the price of the subscription.
Earlier, it was reported that Google had also added a special function to the Google Lens application to identify incomprehensible notes from doctors.
