
Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Meta in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) is entering a new stage. Meta has expressed its readiness to train local specialists in adapting its Llama artificial intelligence model to the Uzbek language, integrating it into government websites, and working with open source programs. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Digital Technologies.
AI development: Llama model and Lex AI chatbot
The meeting, which was attended by Meta representative Senura Abeywardena, discussed cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence and online education. In particular, First Deputy Minister Oleg Pekos provided information about the Lex AI chatbot, developed based on the Llama model. This chatbot will simplify the process of using government services and preparing official documents.
1M AI Prompters and Meta training courses
Deputy Minister Rustam Karimjonov presented the “1M AI Prompters” platform, which is planned to be launched in May. This online education project proposes to host Meta training courses. This initiative is expected to accelerate the training of qualified personnel in AI in Uzbekistan.
Local infrastructure and international experience
In his speech, Senura Abeywardena put forward the initiative to create a local database for adapting AI models to the Uzbek language. He cited successful projects implemented in Taiwan and Kazakhstan as examples and noted that such infrastructure can be formed in Uzbekistan.
Also, cooperation is planned with the participation of Meta engineers on virtual sessions, training models, and training specialists to work with open source programs.
Llama integration in government services
A Meta representative announced that the company is ready to integrate the Llama model into government websites in Uzbekistan. This can significantly accelerate the process of digitizing government services and increase their efficiency.

Recall that the European Commission recently fined Meta $228 million. This fine was imposed on the company for violating antitrust laws. However, Meta continues to promote the principles of global cooperation and openness in the field of artificial intelligence.
