A major breakthrough has been recorded in Uzbekistan’s artificial intelligence sector — Google’s Gemini AI platform now officially supports the Uzbek language. The announcement was made during the international panel session titled “Leadership in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Strategy and Innovation”, held in Tashkent.

At the event, Marina Junich, Head of Government Affairs and Public Policy at Google Cloud, confirmed that the Gemini platform has started operating in Uzbek. She emphasized that this decision opens up new opportunities for the local market, the education system, and the business environment.

Artificial Intelligence in the native language

The introduction of Uzbek language support in Gemini is not merely a technical upgrade; it represents a strategic step toward strengthening the country’s digital culture. From now on:

  • software developers and analysts can use AI tools in their native language,
  • entrepreneurs can automate business processes more efficiently,
  • students and schoolchildren can benefit from AI-supported learning in Uzbek.

Experts believe this innovation will also have a positive impact on Uzbekistan’s startup ecosystem, stimulating the growth of innovative products and digital solutions.

Uzbekistan on the global AI map

The event also featured in-depth discussions on the country’s ongoing digital transformation, global trends in artificial intelligence, and prospects for international cooperation. Particular attention was given to the implementation of AI technologies in public administration, education, healthcare, and industry.

According to specialists, the launch of Gemini in Uzbek will further strengthen Uzbekistan’s presence in the global artificial intelligence market. The integration of the Uzbek language into Google Gemini is not only a matter of convenience — it marks a new strategic phase in Uzbekistan’s national digital development. Millions of citizens can now fully access modern artificial intelligence tools in their mother tongue, accelerating innovation, education, and economic progress.
