In 2024, the net profit of Uzbek banks almost halved, and total income fell below 7 trillion soums. However, while some large banks are still showing good profits, 9 financial institutions simultaneously operated at a loss.

Top 3 banks with the highest income:
Uzmilliybank — 1.72 trillion soums
Hamkorbank — 1.42 trillion soums
Uzsanoatqurilishbank — 1.3 trillion soums
The banks in this top three have operated with stability, especially in the public and private sectors.

Banks with good income:
Kapitalbank — 1.15 trillion soums
Ipak Yuli Bank — 910.5 billion soums
Orient Finance Bank — 901 billion soums
Trustbank — 807.4 billion soums
KDB Bank — 526.9 billion soums
Asia Alliance Bank — 400.6 billion soums
Davr Bank — 389.9 billion soums

During this period, TBC Bank showed a profit of 341 billion soums. Xalq Bank and InfinBank took the next places with income of 268.5 billion and 241.7 billion soums, respectively.

Banks with average and low profits:
Banks with profits between 50 billion soums and 200 billion soums include Anor Bank, Aloqabank, Octobank, and Uzum Bank.
Banks such as Asakabank, Tenge Bank, and Turonbank showed profits of less than 50 billion soums.

Banks that suffered losses in 2024:
Microcredit Bank – loss of 1.7 trillion soums
Business Development Bank – loss of 2.2 trillion soums
Garant Bank, AVO Bank, and Apex Bank also operated with large losses.

The losses of state-owned banks are mainly related to problem loans to legal entities. According to the Central Bank, state-owned banks were forced to create reserves from their own capital.

Plan for 2025:
The Business Development Bank plans to make a profit of 1 trillion soums, and Microcredit Bank plans to make a profit of 112 billion soums. The main focus will be on reducing overdue debt.
In addition, state-owned banks, on the instructions of the president, have begun to allocate a total of $50 million to venture funds to support mahalla startups.
2024 was a testing year for Uzbek banks. While some banks made large profits, others faced serious problems. The main goal in 2025 was to solve these problems and restore financial stability.
