IT Park Uzbekistan and Oman expand cooperation in digital technologies

The Director General of IT Park Uzbekistan, Abdulkahad Kuchkarov, held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Wafa Jabr Nasir Al-Busaidi. The purpose of the visit was to learn about the reforms in Uzbekistan’s IT sector and discuss prospects for cooperation in information technology between Uzbekistan and Oman.

Sevara Khidayatova, a representative of IT Park Uzbekistan, presented key operational indicators, including the number of resident companies, available government incentives, and the Zero Risk program.

During the visit, the Ambassador was introduced to the activities of the Uzinfocom Center and praised the favorable conditions created for the development of the IT sector, as well as the government’s supportive measures.

Director General Kuchkarov emphasized the strengthening of ties with Gulf Cooperation Council countries, noting in particular the opening of IT Park Uzbekistan’s representative office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The Ambassador extended an invitation for the representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan to pay a reciprocal visit to the Sultanate of Oman. Additionally, an upcoming visit to Uzbekistan by Oman’s Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, Qais Mohammed Al-Yousef, is anticipated.

The visit by the Omani Ambassador marked an important step toward strengthening bilateral cooperation in the ICT sector. IT Park Uzbekistan continues to actively expand its international partnerships and attract new collaborators to jointly advance the digital economy.
