MA7 Ventures has announced a $3.1 million investment in Higgsfield — one of the most exciting AI startups emerging from Silicon Valley. This round is a bridge round, a common practice before a major Series A.
Through the MA7 Angels Club syndicate, more than 50 investors from Central Asia invested $3.1 million in the bridge round and an additional $600,000 in Higgsfield’s Series A. Higgsfield is a San Francisco–based company founded by a Kazakhstani entrepreneur, developing next-generation generative video technologies. The deal provided a rare opportunity for private investors from the region to join a global-level project that already counts leading international players among its strategic partners.
This opportunity was made possible for regional investors by venture capitalists Murat Abdrakhmanov and Yelzhan Kushekbayev. Abdrakhmanov was Higgsfield’s earliest and first backer, supporting the project at the idea stage when the company had no product. That strategic trust has already translated into more than a 60x return on paper and has become a benchmark of venture risk-taking in the region.
The deal was structured as a syndicate, allowing many private investors to pool their capital into a single investment. It sent a strong signal to the Central Asian venture ecosystem: regional business angels are not only supporting global ventures but are also entering the market alongside leading international investors.
Recently, Higgsfield’s founders announced a $50 million Series A round led by GFT Ventures, with participation from BroadLight Capital, NextEquity Partners, AI Capital Partners, and Menlo Ventures. In just five months since launch, the platform has already attracted more than 11 million users and generated over 1.2 billion social media views — clear evidence of its rapid growth and potential.
MA7 Ventures is a venture ecosystem founded by Murat Abdrakhmanov, Central Asia’s largest angel investor. It unites a direct investment fund, an angel club, and an international community. The investment in Higgsfield reaffirms that regional investors can play a significant role on the global venture map.
Higgsfield was founded by Yerzat Dulat and Alex Mashrabov. Mashrabov is the former Head of Generative AI at Snap and co-founder of AI Factory, which was acquired by Snap for $166 million. Yerzat Dulat, an AI engineer and researcher, was the originator of the Higgsfield concept and stood at the roots of its scientific foundation.
