Starting at 14:17 on April 17, users were unable to access the Russian video hosting Rutube. The screen displayed the message “Access to the site is impossible,” and some saw that the blocking was based on the VMQ-707 decision.
How did Rutube explain this?
The platform denied that “there was no blocking” and said that there was no change in the number of viewers.
By 17:00, the site was back up. However, within a few hours, access to the service was restored several times and then restricted again.

Rutube is operating normally. However, there was no response to the blocking. AOKA: “It is not a blocking, it may be a technical problem.”
Note: In March, it was also announced that Rutube was blocked in Turkey, but the platform denied this at that time.
