A seminar on “Economy and Artificial Intelligence” was held

From December 17 to 20, 2024, a series of meetings and events were held at the Banking and Finance Academy with the participation of representatives from South Korea’s Handong Global University, Sookmyung Women’s University, and Sejong University.

These events served as an effective platform for fostering international educational and scientific collaboration, discussing pressing scientific topics, and exchanging experiences on the application of modern technologies.

During the meetings, the parties exchanged views on topics such as joint scientific research, faculty exchanges, internships and professional development courses for students, as well as the organization of joint conferences. Additionally, discussions were held on implementing joint scientific and educational programs in the following priority areas:
• Innovations;
• Digital economy;
• Financial technologies;
• Modern management in the banking and finance sector.

At the joint seminar dedicated to the theme “Economy and Artificial Intelligence,” participants discussed the impact of artificial intelligence and the digital economy on various sectors. International experiences and scientific research findings were presented on the following topics:
• Ensuring competition law and consumer rights protection in digital markets;
• Opportunities to enhance financial inclusion through artificial intelligence;
• The role of artificial intelligence in shaping the future of the banking system.

Participants shared insights into the benefits and opportunities of applying AI technologies to economic and financial processes and reached agreements on plans for future collaboration.

As part of the UNESCO UNITWIN Winter Program, the seminar also included in-depth discussions on scientific research methodologies in the following areas:
• Quantitative research methods such as statistical and regression analysis;
• Structuring and reorganizing the research process;
• Qualitative methods such as observations, interviews, and narrative analysis.

This seminar became an important platform for advancing scientific approaches and supporting practical research.

Additionally, representatives from the Korean universities met with Orient Finans Bank officials and graduates of the Banking and Finance Academy employed at the bank. The meeting focused on modern approaches in banking, the implementation of financial technologies, and pathways for professional development.

These meetings and events marked a new phase in the partnership between the Banking and Finance Academy and South Korean universities, strengthening cooperation in education and scientific research. Dialogues dedicated to artificial intelligence and the digital economy contribute to the development of international relations. The knowledge and experiences gained are sure to find their reflection in future projects.
