Apple’s first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, will be available for pre-order starting October 16, with official sales beginning October 23. The device marks Apple’s entry into the foldable smartphone market.
The iPhone Duo features a 7.6-inch inner display and a 5.4-inch outer screen. Its design allows users to switch between a compact smartphone format and a larger display suited for multitasking, gaming and viewing content.
The device is powered by Apple’s A20 Pro chip and features a titanium enclosure, dual-battery architecture and a redesigned version of iOS 27 tailored to the foldable form factor.
In the United States, the iPhone Duo starts at $1,999 for the 256GB version. Higher-capacity configurations of 512GB, 1TB and 2TB will also be available.
Apple says pre-orders will open in more than 70 countries and regions on October 16, while the device will reach another 28 countries and regions starting October 30.
The launch introduces a new product category to Apple’s iPhone lineup as foldable smartphones continue to develop as an alternative to conventional devices.
