On 10 January 2025, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Mining and Geology, Bobir Islamov, engaged in talks with a delegation from Henan Investment Group to explore opportunities for collaboration in the mining and geology sectors.
Discussions centered on expanding cooperation, attracting investments, and establishing a stable resource base to support Uzbekistan’s energy sector.
Henan Investment Group emphasized Uzbekistan’s strategic importance to their business growth and proposed creating a permanent working group to oversee joint projects. They also announced plans to open a representative office in Uzbekistan, aligning with the “Belt and Road” initiative, to strengthen economic ties further.
Both sides expressed mutual interest in the proposals and agreed to draft a detailed action plan for joint projects.
