IT Park Uzbekistan has held talks with representatives of Schwarz Digits, a German technology company, to discuss opportunities for Uzbek IT businesses to expand into the European market.
Schwarz Digits is the digital technology division of Schwarz Group, one of Europe’s largest retail groups and the parent company of major brands such as Lidl and Kaufland. The company focuses on cloud computing, cybersecurity, and digital infrastructure solutions.
During the meeting, both sides discussed key requirements for entering the European market, including data protection regulations, compliance standards, and the expectations of large corporate clients. The conversation also explored potential pathways for Uzbek technology companies to establish partnerships with European businesses.
Particular attention was given to STACKIT, Schwarz Digits’ cloud platform. Company representatives highlighted the growing importance of data security and digital sovereignty for European organizations, making these factors increasingly critical for technology providers seeking to operate in the region.
The meeting could mark another step forward for Uzbekistan’s growing IT sector. In recent years, the country has actively promoted IT exports and supported local companies in expanding internationally. Stronger ties with European technology ecosystems could help accelerate that process.
If these discussions lead to concrete partnerships, Uzbek IT companies could gain not only access to new clients but also valuable experience operating in one of the world’s most competitive technology markets.
