The game development industry in Uzbekistan is evolving rapidly, with local studios increasingly cementing their presence on global platforms. The latest evidence of this growth is the announcement by the Uzbek studio Doomers Entertainment of their new multiplayer project, “Happy My Friends,” on Steam—the world’s largest digital distribution platform for PC gaming. This project not only showcases the technical potential of Uzbek developers but also stands out as a modern product tailored for the international gaming community.
“Happy My Friends” is a multiplayer experience designed for up to eight players, distinguished by its unique gameplay mechanics. The core objective is to locate and eliminate opponents to become the last player standing. The developers have centered the gameplay around stealthy movement and intuitive guesswork: players must pinpoint their opponents’ locations and deliver unexpected strikes. As the match progresses, the arena gradually shrinks, compelling players into more active engagements and eventually leading to a final high-stakes duel.
Technically, the project is highly polished, featuring modern functionalities such as character customization, various skins, accessories, voice chat, and a global leaderboard. Notably, the team behind this game, Doomers Entertainment, was among the prestigious winners of the 2023 President Tech Award. Their expertise and craftsmanship are now on full display on the Steam platform. Such global aspirations by Uzbek teams open new horizons for the local digital economy and creative industries.
“Happy My Friends” is currently available for wishlisting on Steam, and supporting it is a significant step toward the continued advancement of the local game-dev sector.
