The USAID Business Support Project is thrilled to announce an opportunity for Uzbek IT startups to participate in the Web Summit Qatar 2025, a premier global technology event, taking place from February 23–26, 2025, in Doha, Qatar.This is your chance to:

  • Present your unique software product or connected hardware solution to a global audience;
  • Network with over 15,000 attendees, including investors, tech leaders, and media;
  • Gain insights into cutting-edge technology trends and learn from world-class experts;
  • Explore new market opportunities in the Gulf region and beyond.

Benefits for the Selected Startups:
Exhibition Space: Present your product to a global audience, capturing the attention of investors, media, and industry leaders;
Ecosystem Tours and Matchmaking Sessions: Discover Qatar’s premier innovation hubs, including state tech agencies, innovation parks, and investment agencies. Participate in tailored matchmaking sessions to connect with influential stakeholders, unlocking opportunities for collaboration and growth;
Pitch Opportunities: Qualify to participate in the prestigious PITCH competition, where early-stage startups showcase their innovations to a panel of expert judges;
Capacity-Building Workshops: Gain insights and strategies to scale your business and successfully enter the Gulf market;
Investment Opportunities: Access potential funding sources and explore partnerships to drive your startup’s growth;
Enhanced Brand Visibility: Elevate your brand recognition and establish your startup as a global player in the tech ecosystem.

Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify, your startup must:

  • The company must be less than 5 years old.
  • Have its own unique software product or be working on connected hardware devices.
  • Be independent (not a subsidiary of a larger organization).
  • Have a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and a live website.
  • Not be a consultancy, agency, or public company.

Additional Selection Criteria:
Your application will also be evaluated based on:

  • Business maturity and growth potential.
  • Alignment of your product/service with global technology trends.
  • Readiness for international markets, especially the Gulf region.
  • Financial stability and commitment to cost-sharing.
  • Experience with international events.
  • Team leadership and capacity for global engagement.
  • Alignment with the Business Support Project’s mission to elevate Uzbekistan’s ICT sector.

Participation Details:

  • The USAID Business Support Project will cover the costs of ecosystem tours, matchmaking sessions, exhibition space, and participation fees for the selected startup project participants.
  • Selected participants will be responsible for covering their airfare, visas, and living expenses during the event.
  • Application Deadline: 31 January 2025
