Kazakhstan is introducing an artificial intelligence-based system to enhance the efficiency of local governance. The initiative was announced by Zhaslan Madiev, Minister of Digital Development, who revealed that the system has already digitized data on over 6 million Kazakhstani families.
“We have integrated data from the e-Өтініш system and the 109 service to identify key issues in various regions. AI analyzes the situation and suggests solutions,” explained Madiev.
Minister of Labor Svetlana Zhakupova added that the system processes major citizen requests, enabling the government to address public concerns more effectively. Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov underscored the importance of leveraging this technology for regular decision-making.
“Regional governors will now receive updated AI-generated recommendations on a weekly basis. This approach allows for quicker responses to social challenges. While this could be done manually, AI saves both time and resources,” said Bektenov.
The system is ready for deployment and is expected to significantly improve the responsiveness and efficiency of local authorities across the country.
