Digital security — the foundation of digital progress

Uzbekistan continues to take consistent steps to expand international cooperation in the field of digital technologies. During a working visit to the United States, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov and Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov held a meeting with Daniel Kroese, Vice President for Public Policy and Government Cooperation at Palo Alto Networks.

The discussion centered on strengthening Uzbekistan’s cybersecurity capacity, developing human capital, and introducing advanced technological solutions to enhance data protection and digital resilience.

Towards advanced experience and modern solutions

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on sharing international best practices, organizing consultations and training programs on data security, and developing systems for early threat detection and rapid response.

The dialogue also covered the assessment of the technical security and compliance of startup projects with modern international standards. Palo Alto Networks’ extensive experience is expected to play a vital role in introducing innovative approaches into Uzbekistan’s digital ecosystem.

Artificial intelligence and automated security systems

The meeting also addressed opportunities to integrate artificial intelligence, automated monitoring systems, threat detection algorithms, and modern encryption technologies into the country’s national digital infrastructure. These areas are expected to elevate cybersecurity not only in the public sector but also across private enterprises.

Toward a long-term strategic partnership

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to establish a long-term strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Palo Alto Networks, launch comprehensive cybersecurity programs, and strengthen the training of highly qualified professionals in the field.

This initiative represents a key step in implementing Uzbekistan’s “Digital Uzbekistan – 2030” strategy and will contribute to enhancing the country’s standing in the global digital landscape.

In today’s interconnected world, the rapid development of digital technologies brings cybersecurity to the forefront of national priorities. Uzbekistan’s partnership with Palo Alto Networks marks not only a technological milestone but also a strategic advancement — one that positions the country to enter a new era of digital security and innovation.
