Zypl.ai, portfolio startup of AloqaVentures and UzVC, announced raising $3 million in Pre-Series A investment round with the valuation of $35,000,000. CEO of the startup Azizjon Azimi shared with this news in his Instagram page.
Azimi shared his excitement, saying “Our path has set a precedent for the entire region – and we are only gaining momentum. Synthetic artificial intelligence models – the present and future of AI!“
Most notably, lead investor with check size of $2.5 million was a dutch venture fund Prosus Ventures, which has 7 exits and 10 unicorn companies within their portfolio, including success cases such as Wolt and CodeAcademy. Currently holding 117 investments, the dutch fund primarily invests in Series A and later stages.
Rest of the $3 million investment round were pledged by Kazakhstan’s Astana Hub Ventures and Singapore’s Battery Road, which is owned by ex-entrepreneur David Halpert.
This event could signify two major positive prospects for the venture market of Uzbekistan. The first, feasible exit opportunities for the uzbek investors of Zypl.ai – AloqaVentures and UzVC. Secondly, receiving investment from the major player of the global VC scene could spark more interest for the region of Central Asia.
