Wildberries is preparing for the technical launch of its own taxi-ordering service, WB Taxi, in Uzbekistan. The company’s press office reported the news. Wildberries announced the start of the technical rollout of WB Taxi in Uzbekistan. Initially, the project will operate as a “closed club,” which will allow the company to control the launch and ensure the most convenient conditions for customers.
The first group of users who will test the new service will include the marketplace’s employees and partners. For them — as well as for all future passengers — WB Taxi will offer competitive prices, fast car dispatch, and 50% cashback from the trip amount. The refund will be issued in the company’s branded virtual currency, “arbuz”, for cashless payments.
Drivers will also receive favorable working conditions from WB Taxi. Key advantages include a low aggregator commission and guaranteed earnings per shift, provided drivers comply with the service’s quality standards.
Anatoly Smorgonsky, head of WB Taxi, stated that launching in a closed-club format will allow the company to focus on developing the service. According to him, the product will be introduced gradually, with careful monitoring of all system components. Feedback from club participants will help improve the service and prepare it for expansion. The next stages of WB Taxi’s rollout in Uzbekistan will include expanding the service area and gradually opening access to the general public.
