The practice of subsidizing transportation costs for exporters from Uzbekistan’s state budget is being discontinued.
On December 27, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree aimed at aligning export support measures with World Trade Organization (WTO) agreements.
According to the amendments, the compensation of transportation costs for exporters using road, air, and rail transport will be terminated.
Exporters who completed exports before December 31, 2024, will receive subsidies and compensations in accordance with the established procedure. These payments will be finalized by February 1, 2025.
The decree will come into force on January 1, 2025.
The new measures aim to establish a transparent system of export support that complies with international standards and Uzbekistan’s commitments within the WTO framework.
