Artificial intelligence is no longer limited to writing code or assisting customer support. It is now stepping into one of the most critical areas of startup growth: fundraising. U.S.-based AI startup Lyzr has revealed that its proprietary AI agent, SivaClaw, played a central role in managing the company’s $100 million Series B funding round. Rather than relying solely on human teams, Lyzr used its AI agent to automate and streamline much of the fundraising process.
According to TechCrunch, SivaClaw handled a significant portion of investor engagement throughout the fundraising campaign. The AI agent:
- Responded to questions from more than 130 investors;
- Prepared investment materials and supporting documents;
- Analyzed which presentation slides attracted the most investor attention;
- Tracked investor engagement and optimized follow-up communications throughout the process.
The funding round ultimately secured $100 million, while investor interest reportedly exceeded $400 million, highlighting strong demand for the company.
While final negotiations and investment decisions remained in the hands of Lyzr’s leadership, the AI agent significantly reduced the workload by managing repetitive and data-intensive tasks. This allowed the team to focus on strategic conversations instead of spending time answering recurring questions, preparing documents, and monitoring investor interactions manually.
AI agents have already transformed software development, customer service, and business operations. Lyzr’s latest experiment suggests they may soon become an essential part of startup fundraising as well.
As AI systems become increasingly capable of handling complex business workflows, founders may begin using AI not only to build products but also to communicate with investors, prepare fundraising materials, and manage investor relationships at scale.
Lyzr’s $100 million funding round could mark one of the earliest examples of AI playing a meaningful role in venture fundraising—offering a preview of how startups may raise capital in the years ahead.
